Strategies for Managing Mask Anxiety

From research we have done here at Princess Alexandra Hospital, we know that around 1 in 3 people will find the process of having a mask made and wearing it each day for their treatment a bit unsettling.

If you think you may have difficulties coping with the mask, the following video provides a range of strategies designed to help manage anxiety associated with wearing a mask for radiation therapy.

If you feel that having a radiation therapy mask made and wearing it for your treatment is likely to cause you distress please let our team know prior to your radiation therapy planning appointment.
