Dr Kim-Lin Chiew

SPECIALIST AREAS

Dr Kim-Lin Chiew is a Radiation Oncologist at Princess Alexandra Hospital. Her areas of special interest include the management of lung cancer, breast cancer, Stereotactic Body Ablative Radiotherapy (SABR) and palliative care patients.

EDUCATION 

Dr Chiew completed her undergraduate degree at the University of New South Wales School of Medicine in 2006. Her speciality training was undertaken at Liverpool Hospital in Sydney and was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 2016. Subsequently she undertook a 2-year fellowship in breast and lung cancer with a focus on quality of care and improvement at Westmead Hospital in Sydney.

RESEARCH & PUBLICATIONS 

Dr Chiew is engaged in research with a particular focus on quality of care in cancer management and radiotherapy. She has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented research at national and international conferences. Dr Chiew has been involved in the teaching and examining program for both medical students and specialist-in-training doctors.

AWARDS & MEMBERSHIPS 

Dr Chiew has previously been awarded a RANZCR research grant for her work in quality of care for cancer management and is a member of the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia (COSA), Trans-Tasman and Radiation Oncology Group (TROG), and European Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology (ESTRO).
