Radiation Physicists
As medical physicists we are committed to ensuring quality and safety in the practice of clinical science and engineering, centred on the best interests and treatment of our patients.
Quality Assurance
Medical physicists measure and calibrate the equipment that is used to plan and deliver your radiation treatment. This makes sure that the machine gives the correct amount of radiation to the correct area.
Medical physicists also check the calculations of your radiation therapy plan so your treatment is safe and correct.
Radiation Safety
Medical physicists monitor all radiation procedures in the department. We make sure it is safe for patients, visitors, and members of the public.
Research and Development
We work in the radiation team to research and put in place new radiation therapy techniques. These techniques improve treatment results.
